Chapter 246 Origin Stats

"But I don\'t get it. What\'s he doing? Why is the formation acting in such an odd manner?" Seren, Zephyr\'s wife, questioned. She came to the conclusion that she would not obtain answers to the mysteries that surrounded Raydon, so she made the decision to investigate the lesser details.

Zephyr responded, "He is likely to be sealing his origin stats."

\'\'Origin stats? \'\' When Elara heard this, she was taken aback for a brief instant, but her surprise quickly faded.

She laughed as she looked over at Diam and Thalia, and then she continued. \'\' In addition to knowing another technique that enables him to limit his own stats, he also has a title that is quite special, which is to be expected. These two have produced so many mysteries that I am no longer surprised by this. \'\'

Not only Elara but when everyone else in the room heard this, after a moment of surprise, they all thought it was only natural for him to have a special title.

When all item holders first awakened, there were many different titles, each of which granted the owner a different set of abilities. These titles were determined by the item holders\' characters and the increasing potential they had with the techniques they possessed.

Of these titles, the ones with the feature that increased one\'s stat points were considered to be the most powerful and the rarest overall. After all, having more stat points was a direct route to increasing one\'s power as an item holder.

In addition, the stat points obtained through the title had a different nature than the stat points obtained through leveling up and advancing in rank. These stat points were considered to be basic stats, such as the one stat point that an item holder received for each attribute when they first awakened. Because of this, system-related things that restrict stats, such as the training formation that Raydon is currently using, were unable to restrict these stats.

Despite the fact that no item holder knew what other benefits these stats had based on the information they had available, they chose to call the stats earned with the title "origin stats" because of their similarities to basic stats.

Meanwhile, as curious eyes watched him, Raydon was nearing the end of restricting his stats.

When Raydon was finishing up the process of sealing his origin stats, he was pushing the formation with such force that the black sands on the ground had already moved on from the vibration stage and were beginning to rise into the air as a result of the power they were interacting with.

\'\'If this thing were to explode, would we be able to survive? \'\' Galen questioned nervously as he observed the formation make an effort to absorb the energy Raydon\'s body was emitting.

\'\'I don\'t know for sure, but I think Miss Diam won\'t let us get hurt. \'\' Mell uttered it with a tone of uncertainty. Not only did Diam have complete control over their bodies, but she also prevented them from using any of their skills, rendering them incapable of employing any kind of self-defense..

Galen was not in the least bit relieved by what he heard and continued to watch the formation. After some time, he commented that he noticed a difference. \'\'It appears that formation is returning to its normal state. \'\'

\'\'Yes. \'\' Mell exhaled a sigh of relief as she also observed that the vibration of the black sands had lessened and that they were beginning to slowly descend towards the ground.

After what seemed like an eternity to Galen and Mell\'s praying eyes, the sand collapsed back to normal, and Raydon opened his eyes slowly.

\'\'Hey, are you okay? Quick, get out of the formation.\'\' Galen shouted.

\'\'Why? It\'s just getting started. \'\' Raydon noticed the commotion and responded with a smile.

Even though he was unaware that what he had done would cause such a stir, at least he had succeeded in his objective.

[Strength]:  0.9 - (11)

[Agility]:  0.9 - (11)

[Stamina]:  0.9 - (110)

[Luck]:  0.9 - (11)

[Charisma]:  0.9 - (11)

[Spirit]:  0.9 - (110)

\'Well, I overdid it, I suppose. \' When Raydon checked his stats in the character panel, he discovered that every one of his stats had been fixed to 0.9. He went a little too far in his attempt to get all of his stats down to 1, even lowering his stats below the basic stat, which is 1.

[Restriction on stats completed. Training will begin in 3 seconds.]

3…

\'\'Nice. \'\' After receiving the notification from the system, Raydon let out a sigh of relief.

2…

"Let\'s see now how challenging this thing is. \'\'

1…

While Raydon was giggling and waiting for the training to start, the first stone suddenly materialized silently behind him and shot in his direction.

Mell said, "He didn\'t even focus as expected he will fail from the start." when she saw his lack of concentration and grin.

Exactly the same thing was going through Galen\'s mind, and he doubted that he had even noticed the stone coming towards him from behind. However, the outcome was completely different from what either of them had anticipated it to be.

Raydon didn\'t appear to be paying attention to his surroundings and instead appeared to be waiting for a friend to meet in the middle of the park; however, curiously enough, he managed to avoid the stone that was fast approaching his head from behind, only by tilting his head a little to the side.

\'Was this luck? \' When Galen saw this, the thought occurred to him.

However, when he saw that the second and third stones were similarly materialized out of Raydon\'s line of sight as they were thrown at him, he avoided them as well with no difficulty, and Galen realized that it had nothing to do with luck and everything to do with skill.

\'\'What technique is he using?\'\' Mell couldn\'t help but inquire while she watched him deftly avoid the stones.

\'\'I can\'t say for sure. But it looks like our evasion technique. \'\' Galen gave a hesitant response.
