Chapter 637: Don’t Mute Your Phone Next Time
Seeing that it was Xia Ning at the door, Qiao Yu asked, “Has Enoch gone to bed?”
Xia Ning’s gaze only lingered on him for a brief moment before she looked away. She nodded. “Yes.” She then closed the door, walked past him, and entered the room. She could feel the heat on her cheeks.
She couldn’t help but move her gaze downward when she saw him walk out of the bathroom. Luckily, he had a towel wrapped around his waist, which only seemed to make her imagination run wilder.
In fact, she had hoped that Enoch would sleep in the same room with them tonight, but Gao Wanhua wouldn’t let him and there was nothing Xia Ning could do about it.
Picking up her nightgown, Xia Ning headed for the bathroom. “I’m going to take a shower.” She said without even looking at Qiao Yu.
Watching Xia Ning from behind, Qiao Yu frowned a little. Was she deliberately avoiding him? That look in her eyes! He looked down at his own body and grinned.
The door to the bathroom closed. Qiao Yu stood in silence for a brief moment before moving toward the king-size bed.
It took Xia Ning a while in the bathroom to get over the embarrassment. This wasn’t the first time something like this happened and she really shouldn’t have felt this shy.
When she walked out, she found Qiao Yu in bed, playing with his cell phone.
Xia Ning towel-dried her hair, picked up the hairdryer from the shelf and was going to blow dry her hair in the bathroom.
A hand caught her by the arm and she heard him saying, “Let me.”
Xia Ning was a little surprised. She then smiled at him. “You don’t have to, really...”
However, he had snatched the hairdryer out of her hand before she could say another word.
Xia Ning watched as he rolled out of bed, plugged in the hairdryer, and turned to look at her. “Come here.”
Xia Ning frowned when she saw his bare chest and the towel wrapped around his waist. She couldn’t move.
“We need to dry your hair now or you may catch a cold,” said Qiao Yu with a frown.
Xia Ning didn’t want him to sense her uneasiness, so she went over to him and sat down on the chair he gestured with his gaze.
Qiao Yu then turned on the hairdryer and started drying her hair.
She could feel the hot air and his fingers sliding across her scalp. The sensation ran down her spine and made her chest tickle. Her gaze landed on his six-pack and she could feel the heat of his certain body part. Before she knew it, her ear had turned pink and the temperature of the room seemed to be rising.
It seemed forever before he finally finished. Xia Ning thanked him as soon as the hairdryer was switched off and she rose to her feet.
However, he grabbed her by the arm before she could walk away.
“I’m going to bed.” Xia Ning struggled, trying to throw the hand off.
The man replied in his deep voice. “That’s right.” He moved closer and wrapped his arms around her from behind.
Xia Ning stiffened when a kiss landed on her nape. She suddenly closed her eyes and let him kiss her. Everything seemed to happen so naturally.
However, he kept going tonight and wouldn’t let go of her. He was thrusting so hard that it hurt her. She protested, but he didn’t seem to hear her.
When he finally finished, he panted and whispered in his ear. “Don’t mute your phone next time.” He then rolled off her.
Xia Ning’s pupils contracted. Staring at the ceiling, she felt a chill down her spine. However, the man pulled her into his arms at that moment before he fell asleep.
While the man was sleeping soundly behind her, Xia Ning was wide awake. It was probably the effect of a guilty conscience.
