Chapter 301 Bleeding Nose
After that close call from the referee, he blew his whistle twice to bring the first half to an end.
"There\'s the whistle, that\'s the end of the first half," Jim said.
"What an entertaining first half this has been, I expected it to be way competitive compared to this but Unique FC are not messing around, they\'ve gotten a comfortable two-goal lead, the second half is still available and a comeback for Lesica United isn\'t out of question yet, although, I doubt Unique FC are going to let go of this two-goal lead that easily." Steve expressed.
Unique FC players were all gathered in the locker room now with Norman standing in front of them with his arms crossed.
"Good job out day, all of you have been great so far, but don\'t go out there in the second half and let your guard down, it would be catastrophic to allow them to make a comeback on us, it has happened a lot of times and I don\'t want it to happen again." The coach expressed.
"No way, Coach, we\'re not letting our guards down, we\'ll keep pushing them out until the final whistle," Adolf said.
"That\'s good to hear," Norman said with a nod. "I don\'t see any reason to make any changes so far but I have a contingency plan just in case, and I\'m going to tell you about it now."
After filling the players in on the contingency plans, he allowed them to rest up for a few minutes, and now, it was time for them to start making their way to the pitch.
The crowd erupted with cheers as the players made their way to the pitch.
"Unique FC fans are more active than they used to be tonight, don\'t you think, Steve?" Jim asked.
"Yeah, they\'re quite hyperactive tonight and that\'s the way that it\'s supposed to be, can\'t you see the way the team is playing confidently?" Steve expressed.

\'I just need to survive for this second half while also making three more crucial saves.\' The goalkeeper said subconsciously before he began to make his way to the pitch.
"Looks like there\'s been no changes from either side."
Fredinho was standing over the ball in the ick-off spot waiting for the referee\'s whistle.
The referee slowly observed the area to make sure everything and everyone was ready before he blew his whistle to kick off the second half.
"There\'s the whistle and the second half is on the way," Jim said.
Fredinho pushed the ball back to Martinez who quickly stretched it to Mateo on the left.
All Mateo needed was a single touch to send the ball flying to Carlos from the top.
Carlos had already broken loose on the right wing, but they weren\'t going to make getting into the box easy for him.
"Unique FC\'s starting with an attack right off the bat," Jim said.
The winger tried all he could to get past, and since he didn\'t want to lose the ball, he pushed it back to Minino who quickly sent it rolling to Ferran in the middle.
Ferran got hold of the ball and waited for the player heading toward him to get to him before he got past him with some neat footwork before lobbing the ball over to Mateo on the left.
"Mateo."
Mateo quickly used body feints to get past the defender marking him and into the box but he wasn\'t free yet and wasn\'t given enough space to shoot, so he had to push the ball to Fredinho before stumbling to the floor.
"He\'s laid it out for Fredinho."
Fredinho got to the ball with a slide, but his effort was sent flying over the bar.
"Oh, that could have been a wonderful goal and would have sealed the game for the home side."
Fredinho sat there for a while with a smile on his face before he got up and began to make his way back to his side of the pitch.
The game resumed with Lesica United slowly building up play from their side of the pitch.
The midfielder on the right moved down with the ball and just before he could run into Ferran, he pushed the ball to Levi.
"Levi."
Levi tried to make a run for it with the ball, but Roland wasn\'t going to make things easy for him, so he had to push the ball to Okafor in the middle before quickly getting past Roland.
As soon as he was past Roland, Okafor quickly laid the ball off for him in the box.
Roland tried to stop him, but all the winger needed was a single touch to fire the ball toward the bottom right-hand corner of the goalpost.
"Levi!"
Dave quickly stretched his left leg right on time, and that was all he needed to block the ball and send it out for a corner kick.
"Crucial save from Dave, and now they have a corner kick to deal with."
\'That was close.\' The goalkeeper said subconsciously as he got up from the floor.
Levi quickly picked up the ball and went to drop it on the corner kick spot.
The players were inside the box now waiting for the ball and a few of them were hanging outside for the rebound which could be used to start a counterattack or just send it flying into the goalpost while the goalkeeper is disoriented.
After making sure everything was ready, the referee blew his whistle and now, it was up to Levi.
The winger stared at the ball for a few seconds before he took two steps backward, after that, he quickly closed up on the ball and sent it flying into the box.
Adolf contested for the ball in the air against Okafor, but the striker ended up winning it, but due to Adolf\'s head slightly making contact with his, his header was sent flying toward the bottom left side and before Dave could get to it, the ball hit the post and the rebound was sent rolling out.
"Okafor\'s effort hits the post but it\'s not over yet."
Jonathan was quickly heading toward the ball with a slide at that time but before he could get to it, Dave stretched toward the ball and covered it with both of his hands and because of that, Jonathan ended up hitting him.
"That was a close call from Dave, but it looks like Jonathan ran into him there," Jim said.
"I don\'t think it\'s anything serious, he\'s getting up from the floor now," Steve said.
"Yeah, I guess that wasn\'t…."
"Go!" The goalkeeper yelled, but before he could send out the ball, he crashed down the floor with it covering his face with both of his hands.
"What just happened?"
The referee had to stop play to check what was going on with him.
"Hey, Dave, what\'s wrong?" Adolf asked before slowly removing his hands from his face.
That was when he saw that blood was dripping down from his nose and a lot of it had already run down his mouth.
"Tell the medical team to get over here! His nose is bleeding!" The captain yelled.
"Looks like that hit from Jonathan was serious after all, Dave Richards is down with a bleeding nose," Jim said.
Emma looked up at the screen above the stadium to see the camera zoom in on Dave whose face was partially covered with blood dripping down from his nose.
"Dave." She muttered with her mouth wide open.
