Chapter 383: Sword Coast Map
Chapter 383: Sword Coast Map
"Oh, God! Please! Anything but that!" Delao shouted so depravedly l could hear his throat begin to tear apart as he begged.
"Are you serious about this?" Lilith asked, sending a glance towards Dreck and the others who remained gobsmacked.
"Why the hell not? It\'s not my ass about to be taken!" I shouted, covering my booty as I stared at the massive Slov\'Ca that towered over me. "This thing is about to tear him up. Not sure he will be able to shit the same afterward."
"Please! I\'ll give you anything!"
"The hell happened to that uptight mouth of yours? This is what happens, and since you shit yourself, I think it might just slide in." I replied, crossing my arms, "Lily, are you still making potions?"
Twitching her brow, she coughed, lowering her head, "umm I, Ummm. I may have forgotten everything. Tee-hee?"
"I\'m-- I\'m going assume that\'s a no."
"I told you I forget things a lot."
"Yeah, you did, just didn\'t think you would forget everything you learned," I mocked as she blushed, shifting my attention towards Delao, still begging.
"My ring! On my left arm, it\'s still there. Just take it!" He shouted," just, please don\'t **** me!"
"Man, it just sounds weird coming from a man. Although I wonder what\'s worse? This horse or by man. At least then... Why the hell am I even thinking of this?"
Swiping the ring off his finger, Lilith frowned, turning to me, "it\'s soul bound; we need to kill him."
"Can\'t you break it? He could still be useful?"
"I guess, just kill him anyway, more fun this way!" She stated carelessly, waving her hands as a map appeared. Seeing no need to keep Delao alive, I pointed towards his head as a beam of obsidian spear intent sprung from my finger, killing him instantly.
Feeling all ten souls within me, I soon began to frown. My qi and body cultivation are now one; there is no distinction. What exactly will these souls doing within me?
"Want to look?" Lilith suddenly asked.
Shaking my head, I bitterly smiled, "Nope, I have one of the worse sense of directions you will ever see. I once got lost on a straight road."
"Then why do you sound a little proud?"
"Have you ever seen a person lost on a straight road?"
"Sene, that\'s not a brag... stop it before someone hears you."
Rolling my eyes, I held my head high as she showed me a map of a coast shaped like the edge of a blade. "I can\'t say where exactly we are, as we randomly popped up here, but we can ask Dreck and the others."
Recalling those three, I waved at them with a smile, "Hey! what are you guys doing! come on; the battle is over!"
Shaking in their boots, my wife and I pretended not to notice as we beckoned, "Can you all tell us where we are?"
"Who are you all? Chosen\'s?" Dreck fearfully cried out, backing away with his wives in arms.
"Hey, we were just defending ourselves! Bandits deserve no mercy! We fight for justice and peace! Those that bring chaos deserve no pity!" I humbly said, showing myself to be a knight for justice and all that other superman bull shit.
"My~Knight~and~Shine~Armor~" Lilith mocked, leaning onto me.
"Do you two know who you just killed? Deleo of the Black Capes." Dreck shouted, pointing towards the man lying in his blood.
"He was, was a black cape? Do people still do that? "I asked, finally taking note of the cape hidden beneath his blood. "Damn! Yura cut him up so quickly. Meh, who cares? Now can you tell us where we are?"
"Look! They--
"Of course," Dep suddenly said, cutting off Dreck, who appeared far dumber than I initially thought. "We are here, within the Forest of Saltor. If we head Northeast, following this road, we will come upon a fork in the road. From there, we head North, then east..."
Hearing Dep go on and on about directions, I zoned out, already confused. Taking the time, I looked inwards towards my nine dantian and the now ten souls sparkling of flames orbiting all nine of them. Going around and around like astroids, I could see the nine stars absorbing slowly, assimilating their endless energy.
Regaining the feeling of being whole once more, I smiled, knowing not much had changed, except now these souls would help both my cultivations... Guess it\'s not both but one now.
"But the problem remains. I need almost nine times more Qi than average. I need to get in contact with my demons and devils. They need to start burning worlds to the ground and gathering their souls.
"Abaddon?" Lilith called, bringing me back to the real world.
"Sup?" I asked, noticing all eyes upon me.
"Shit got too complicated, so we are going to just cut straight through the forest. We may find some goodies on the way to the Holy City of Caisa." Said Lilith ignoring the poor faces of Deb.
"That is a death sentence!" Deb tried to explain, "If we follow the path, it\'s only a hundred-year journey, and all we will have to worry about will be bandits."
"Then how will we find treasure? it\'s our honeymoon, plus we will be close to the coast to have a dip in whenever we feel. "Lilith explained, "plus, that hundred-year run is bull shit, we need to find a nexus gate, and this map doesn\'t show any."
"You can afford that?"
"It\'s only a few Celeste Gems," Lilith explained, waving off the greed bringing to glimmer from their eyes. Seeing the bait thrown out, Lilith turned to me.
"We need you guys! None of us have ever been to the Swords Coast. We need a guide, and you all seem to be reliable men and women." I said shamelessly, "We can even pay you all to get us to the Holy City."
Sending a subtle glance caught by me towards Dreck, who nodded, Deb smiled, "Then we accept, but what about the Black Capes."
"yet again, such a stupid name? Are they really a problem? Grown-ass men flying around in capes? Are they at least nobility. That\'s the only way I can seem them pulling it off."
"I think you are overthinking this, Sene," Lilith explained.
"I\'m really not! Think of an entire legion of grown-ass men dressed in black capes. Let\'s hope they at least look cool."
